Lawrie designs for theatre, events, opera, dance, and film and television. Her design credits span from the stage adaptation of ‘The Year of Living Dangerously’ for Black Swan Theatre Company, through to production designer on the Australian feature film ‘Teesh and Trude’. In 2006, she graduated from ‘Theatre Direction’ at WAAPA and has since assistant directed on numerous productions, worked in collaboration to direct and produce a Shakespeare for Corporations, received a grant to workshop a new play, thrice staged Shakespeare in the desert and formed a company Shoe Fly Productions with writer Suzanne Ingelbrecht.
Credits as director/designer include ‘An Oak Tree’ (as part of ‘In The Chair Initiative’ for The Brainbox Project and PTC), and Lebensraum’ staged Downstairs at his Maj.
